Muscle Car
Motors By Ronald W. Firquain, Jan 31st
Hi performance
engines are built on a new engine case unless you request a
rebuilt one. And are the result of careful parts matching,
and the correct combination of parts is critical. HP engines
are those increased horsepower resulting from alteration to
cubic inch displacement, camshafts, carburetor, or exhaust
system, and that produced by the automobile manufactures.
Muscle Car Motors are hard on clutches, the lockout clutch
will eliminate excessive slipping and improve your clutch
life up to 5 times longer.
One of the hottest products to emerge in recent years for
Muscle Car Motors are Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gaskets.
This is how all Hi Performance engines are broken in, and
all engines today can be considered a hi performance Muscle
Car Motor since they pull more power out then there
predecessors ever did. To put engines into categories, most
stock/street engines are 80%-85% efficient, high performance
engines are 85%-90%, and race engines are 90%-95%. Reliable
engines are dependent upon high quality components and
sub-components.
RHINO Hi Performance Engines are built with the highest
quality parts to give you the best performance and the
maximum horsepower. Shipping methods for high performance
engines are via truck freight anywhere within the contiguous
48 U. These high performance engines are not indestructible
and can break if not enough attention is given to the proper
setting and use. Some motors are very susceptible to
knocking because they compress the fuel/air mixture more.
All our performance engines are built to MHR's strict
specifications using the most precise measuring tools and
devices. Industrial engines and performance motors are often
built with larger clearances and will use more oil. All of
our performance engines are run on our dyno to ensure
maximum performance is realized. Stock engines are warranted
for 24 months 24,000 miles; High Performance engines are
warranted for 6 months 6,000 miles. Today, high performance
engines are all aluminum, but the cylinder bore evenly
coated with a few microns of a ceramic material such as
silicon carbide.
Most all high performance motors are high compression, but
not vice versa. Ken says that most of these engines are
using the Zimmerman Valve (let's call it the Z-V for short),
and supplied a photo to answer my watzat. And are the most
powerful in their class and will easily handle Tassie most
demanding hills. The days of short motor life on high
performance engines are long gone.
