My Used Audi Search

July 31st, 2009

The Used Car market can become an undeniably detestable place to be buying your vehicles from. I have almost lost count of the amount of times I have been sold a dummy, or a car that has almost failed the second I get it off the dealership forecourt. It is with this in mind that I reluctantly began my terrible search for a Used Car for my wife last weekend. From the outset a few particular things didn’t exactly encourage me that this Used Car shopping trip was going to be any different to the usual disappointing cavalcade of pushy salesmen and clapped out cars.
Firstly, my wife couldn’t decide what car she wanted;
“I’m not sure if I want a BMW, a Lexus or a Mercedes." She kept saying as if it was some mantra designed solely to get on my wick.
Every Used Car dealership we visited yielded the same collections of rusty cars that would fail to inspire even the most silly of car buyers. The salesmen who populated these damnable dealerships were also the very definition of annoying smarm that has become a cliché of the used car trade. Every solitary time one came near in their cheap suits and late seventies aftershave I could feel the hairs on my neck bristle.
This trend of visiting one disastrous dealership after another came to an end when I suggested my wife may like a Used Audi TT. She seemed not particularly adverse to the idea (I blame this entirely on the fact that she probably didn’t even recognise the brand name Audi) so we visited out local Used Audi Dealership.
Everything was a lot different from all the other less reputable dealerships and I immediately suspected we had found the location of my wife's next awesome car. The place was clean, the staff were friendly and the selection of cars were absolutely phenomenal.
The lesson of the story is not to give up on the used car market because of what you have heard in the past. If you look carefully, there are some very good dealerships around who will provide you excellent used cars at great prices.

My Ford Dilemma

July 31st, 2009

Every single driver will obviously have differing categories and stipulations regarding what makes an awesome car. Some will be of the opinion that power, speed and performance are the mark of a truly great car and suggest that the Bugatti Veyron or something similar is the perfect car. Others will hold esteem in a more aesthetic nature and put forward cars such as the Porsche Carrera and the Aston Martin Vanquish as the real purveyors of automotive perfection. I have always held the opinion that the truly fantastic cars don't focus on one thing, but try to encapsulate the needs and desires of everyone into their designs and engineering. This is precisely why my favourite car is the brand new Ford Focus.

Now you may be laughing or deriding me for saying that I would rather own a Ford Focus than a Pagani Zonda or a Koenigsegg, but that simply isn’t true. I would love to own one of the many supercars or hypercars that are available on the market and if you gave me £1 Million to spend on a car I wouldn’t disappoint you. All I am trying to say that in a practical world the new Ford Focus is a lot less likely to frustrate you than a supercar. Let me explain my logic.

First of all you have fuel efficiency to take into account. Ford have become synonymous with engineering which seems to sip very frugally at the fuel reserves and the Focus is no different. With economical driving disciplines in place it is possible to get supermini standard fuel economy from a Ford Focus. This leaves you with more money in your wallet and having to spend less time stood at the pumps, refilling every few hours.

Secondly the issue of practicality has to be addressed. Everybody has to do a weekly shop, or pick up comestible goods from town. In a Ford Focus this is a relatively carefree task. Parking is very easy, boot space is magnificent and thanks to the Ford Focus’ ‘understated’ beauty, it won’t attract vandals to pull it to bits. Adversely, if you choose to do your food shopping in your new Ferrari 599, you are going to find parking excruciatingly difficult, discover you only have the luggage space to fit a small punnet of Satsumas and the vandals will tear your Ferrari badge and wing mirrors off before you can even say “hands off my car!”

I will admit, owning a supercar would be a dream come true, I have a very soft spot for the Lamborghini Gallardo myself, but in an increasingly practical world, it becomes almost impossible to think of an apt time to use one. With the cost of petrol, the congestion on the roads and the increasing number of uninsured drivers on the road, why would any drive for pleasure?

Take my advice and get the best practical car money can buy; the brand new Ford Focus. You will get great performance and fantastic economy, just don’t expect 0-60 in under three and a half seconds.

Is the Future of Motoring Green?

July 31st, 2009

When it comes to buying new cars, a lot of people fall in to one of two groups – those who don’t particularly care about the car itself, and will be looking for the cheapest option or the least likely to break down, and petrol heads who want the fastest, sleekest, coolest car they can find. ‘Green’ cars, designed to be more fuel efficient and produce less or no carbon emissions, have never really fallen into either group. Sure, it’s a nice idea that you could help to save the planet by driving a different car, but let’s face it these environmentally friendly cars just aren’t capable of performing as well as their petrol-powered counterparts, and they’re normally not cheap either.

But that may all be about to change. A heightened awareness of green issues and climate change combined with the effects of the global recession means that people are starting to move towards buying more fuel efficient vehicles. Car buyers are starting to consider greener alternatives to petrol as a viable future for the car industry, and the technology is developing and improving in leaps and bounds. The latest eco friendly vehicles were on display at the Revolve Eco Rally recently, driving en mass from Madeira Drive in Brighton to gather outside London’s City Hall. The cars were driven by celebrity guest drivers and they were met in London by Mayor Boris Johnson, himself a keen supporter of green transport, for the What Car? Green Awards.

The purpose of the rally and the awards was to demonstrate the capabilities of the latest green cars, and vehicles received awards for a number of different reasons. The overall winner was the Volvo S40 DRIVe for combining its green credentials and supreme fuel efficiency with safety, security and being an all-round good small family car – it’s still not cheap though, and for around £50 more you can buy a Toyota Avensis, winner of the large family car category. Other winners were the Mini Cooper S, which won best green sports car for the second year running, and for those who still have cash to spare and can afford to buy an Audi the A8 was named best green luxury car. The innovative Tesla scooped the Editors Award for its battery-powered Roadster, which takes electric cars to a whole new level and proves that they can perform as well as any car enthusiast could hope.

And the reason for all this? Well, it looks as if the future of motoring could be green after all. Sure it’s true that they are still somewhat more expensive than most, but it won’t be long before they won’t cost the earth, and it looks like when that time comes people will be queueing up to buy one.

Best Convertibles To Soak Up The Sun

July 31st, 2009

Summer is almost here and what better way to enjoy spending time in the sunshine than by cruising around in a shiny new convertible? It might sound like an expensive luxury, but it really doesn’t have to cost as much as you’d think, and you won’t have to fork out to buy a new BMW, Porsche or Lexus to be out there enjoying the sun in your new motor. More and more people are choosing to buy smaller cars as not only do they cost less but they are also more fuel efficient. Here are five of our favourite cars that are sure to get you noticed this summer without costing the earth

Nissan Micra C+C
The Nissan Micra has held its position at the top of the small car market for years, and the newer convertible model comes equipped with a glass roof that folds neatly away so you get panoramic views and a sense of being outdoors even when the roof is up. It’s cute, sleek and best of all it doesn’t even cost much more than it would to buy a Nissan Micra in its normal form, without the folding roof!

Mitsubishi Colt Cabriolet
With a metal roof that folds away effortlessly, the Colt Cabriolet is a car designed for those who appreciate the finer details. It has loads of little touches that make everyday driving easier, and also has generous storage space in the boot, making it one of the most competitive cars in its class.

Audi TT Roadster
OK so this one is a bit more expensive but we couldn’t have left it off the list. Audis are well known for keeping one step ahead of most other popular cars and the Roadster is no exception. Its sleek interior, smooth handling and powerful engine make it one of the most desirable small convertibles around – if you want to buy an Audi this could be the perfect car for you.

Mazda MX-5
The MX-5has been a common sight on the roads since it first launched in the late 1980s, and the reasons for its popularity are no mystery. The aesthetically attractive interior and lightweight body makes it one of the most fun and sporty cars around. Traditionally a soft top, the latest version also has the option of an electrically powered hard top that retracts in just 12 seconds.

Mini Convertible
On the surface it looks as if all Minis are essentially the same, but the fact is that you can personlise and customise your Mini in countless different ways. Obviously the convertible looks slightly different to most Minis thanks to its canvas roof, but there is an endless list of other optional extras to help you get exactly the car you want.

You Can Make Money Online, Without Spending Anything!

How You Can Make Money at Home Online

The days of yore meant having products to sell or at least a website of your won, in order to make money online. But those days are easily behind us. Today, simply with the help of the things that we know, or even the people that we know, good amount of cash could be made online. Of course, it is important to sift the wheat from the chaff. Searching online, using terms such as “make money online” or “making money online”, reveals that a lot of the supposed “golden” opportunities are simply words of hype from Internet Marketers. More than anybody else, it seems to be these people who are actually making substantial amounts of money, online. Having said that, there are legitimate companies out there, giving out real money to real people. Moreover, they do not require any major hard-selling or require you to have your own domain or even your own service. Listed below are some of these companies.

I started making 5k a month after 4 months. I was blown away. I did exactly what the producers wanted me to and it made me filthy rich. I wrote articles that were laid out for me. I was told how to start, continue, and finish the articles and it has brought me to 100k a month. Yes, it is true 100k a month.

All you have to do is trust in one person who you have an inkling may actually have crawled out of his financial pit. I was in a pit. I was a teacher with a great pension and still considered it a pit. Wealth is right there at your finger tips. Take a chance. It is right in front of you.

The written word gets you cash! Unknown to many, you can actually write your way online to cash, that too, loads of it. Sites like Helium and Associated Content pay you a reasonable amount for just about any topic that you may choose to write on. In case you write on a topic assigned by them, the payout is even higher, sometimes as much as $200. Many blogs are also on the lookout for freelance writers to fill in the content for them. The initial payout may not be much, but with time, the payouts increase.

Once the research is all completed and we know that we are now ready to make money from home online, our next move is creating a product. Usually with an online business, digital information products or E books are the way to go. If you have enough knowledge about the subject you can try and write it yourself, otherwise I would strongly suggest hiring a researcher and writer to create it for you. After your E book is created and is ready for sale, you’ll need to start an account at Clickbank so affiliates can sell your book and help you make money. The best way to get affiliates to promote and sell your product is to offer them a very hefty commission. Besides that, you’ll need to learn how to market your website so you can receive traffic and ultimately convert that traffic into sales.

This process works to make money from home online no matter what niche you decide to go into. Once you have sales coming in constantly with your first website, you can then rinse and repeat the process and start multiple niche websites and really cash in on the power of the internet.

Geo Prizm Created by the Combine of Effort of Toyota and GM

July 31st, 2009

The Geo Prizm is a vehicle that has been made from 1990 up until the year 1997 by a joint project and venture by the General Motors Firm and the Toyota Motor Company. The Geo Prizm is a compact auto and comes in two body styles which comprise of the sedan with 4 doors and the hatchback that sports 5 doorways. It has been related to the Toyota Corolla and the Toyota Sprinter, and also considered the Ford Escort, the Dodge Colt, the Honda Civic, and the Nissan Sentra as its competition. When the production of this vehicle had been permanently halted, the Chevrolet Prizm then succeeded this vehicle.

Best Day Of The Month To Buy A Car

July 31st, 2009

by Louis Cruz

What is Really The Best Day of The Month To Buy A Car? There are many opinions about this. But many expert car dealers will almost always give you the same answer. They will clearly tell you that the best day to buy a car is the last day of the month! Continue reading and find out why.

www.autodealershiptopsecrets.com

Actually most dealers will swear up and down about this but the truth of the matter is that car manufacturers have a specific target or amount of sales that the car dealer must meet on a monthly basis. Car dealers receive bonuses when they meet their monthly target sales. And many times these car dealers will depend on these bonuses to level their balance sheets. If possible a car dealership will try to pass this targeted goal by 60-80 cars. Of course, we are talking about the “big guy” car dealership.

So why does this makes it The Best Day of the Month To Buy A Car? Well many times at the end of the month a car dealership may not have reached this targeted goal. They may still need to sell 15-20 cars. And opposite to the small car dealer down the street he can afford to let go of $1500 to $2000 dollars or more from each car and still make a profit. So it is at this last moment when they may be desperate to reach their goal. And to do this they will be willing to reduce the price a few thousand dollars.

www.autodealershiptopsecrets.com

If losing $1,000 to sell you a car is standing in the way of them receiving tens of thousands of dollars in bonuses, it’s not exactly a hard sell for them.

Contrary to popular belief, the small car dealer is not usually able to reduce the price of car because they usually sell less during the month and they will usually try to compensate for their lower sales by pumping up the price on each individual car.

Of course, the car dealer is not likely to show his weak side, you might need to bring it up so and be a little persistent in requesting a better offer. If you’re not afraid to face the big guy, then you might as well save a few thousand dollars in the car you want! So Take advantage of The Best Day Of The Month to Buy A Car!
